For a problem, the easiest way is to tap Profile › Help › Report a problem in the app: the email is ready, with the app version and your iPhone model. Attach a screenshot if you can.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my journal stored?
On your iPhone, and in your private iCloud if iCloud is turned on for Porcom. Porcom works without an account or server: we can’t access your journal.
How do I back up my journal or move to a new iPhone?
With iCloud, your journal comes back on its own on your new iPhone. To keep a separate copy:
- In Porcom, tap Profile › Data › Export a backup, then save the .porcom file to Files or iCloud Drive.
- On the new iPhone, open that file, or tap Profile › Data › Restore a backup.
- Choose to merge with your journal to add what’s missing, or to replace it to start over from the backup.
The backup contains your movies, series, spotted titles, sessions, notes, quotes and images.
I can’t find my movie or series
Try the original title, or add the year. Some titles, especially recent or lesser-known ones, are still missing from TMDB: tap Enter manually to add it yourself.
The trailer won’t play
Trailers come from YouTube and need a connection. If a video won’t play in the app, tap Open in YouTube. You can also paste the link to another YouTube trailer in the title’s page (More › Edit).
How do I add the next season?
Each season is its own entry, with its own poster, dates and verdict. Search for the series, then pick the season to add.
How do I change the date I watched a movie?
In the title’s page, tap More › Edit, then adjust the viewing dates. When you add a movie you’ve already watched, you can also pick the date as you add it.
How do I export my movies to Letterboxd?
Tap Profile › Data › Export as CSV, then import the file in Letterboxd (Settings › Import & Export). Only watched movies are included: Letterboxd doesn’t know series.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a title from its page (More › Delete), or delete the app to erase its data from your iPhone. To erase the iCloud copy too, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage. Export a backup first if you want to keep it.

Yes, with no ads, no subscription and no account.
